Once again - any information or rumours you here regarding the release of an EA game, demo, patch or otherwise that you did not hear from an EA employee via an EA site or forum is speculation.
As has been proven in this case no matter how reliable you believe a piece of "insider" information to be, it is frequently not the case.
The teams who run EA's sites and forums are in touch with every relevant person within EA in the release of game information, patches, demos and so on, and therefore have the absolute best detail with regards to when something will arrive.
Again - if you didn't read it officially it isn't official - and should not be taken as true.
In this case the demo was scheduled for release on the 6th over a month ago, however this was a speculative date which is why it was not publicly released. Speculative dates are frequently wrong, and often change in the last few days for one reason or another. It is for this reason that we will not issue the date for the release of anything until we are 100% certain that it will not move.
Don't blame those who have been misinformed regarding the release of the demo, as they believed they were accurate, however for your future reference you should only believe what you hear officially.
